Parisian And Therefore Wonderful

Last week I went to Zara for the first time in AGES! I used to love it there, but recently ASOS has been my number one high street stop and the quality of Zara items seems to be getting worse and worse! Anyways, I popped in for a nosey, and left with these incredible shoes!!! As soon as I saw them I made an audible gasp, and immediately bought them. I love the Celiné vibes, and they're also very comfy and easy to walk in. They even made the cut to come to New York with me, a pretty good way to judge my love for them! I wore them last week with a fail safe combo that I never tire of: skinny jeans a longline shirt, I always feel extra Parisian in this combo and therefore extra wonderful.

So as of tomorrow I am going to start sharing my New York content and outfits! SO many amazing photos coming your way!!

I am so excited to be sharing this one! I have loved filming it, and feel like I actually found out some interesting info! If you have any questions just let me know.

The Rules of Jeans and a T-Shirt

Yesterday was a belter of a day in Manchester!! It was properly jeans and t-shirt weather, so I made the most of it and thought I would share it with you too. Despite being a bit of a boring combination, I am a longtime fan of it jeans and a tee. I just have a few rules I stick to:

1. High waisted and baggy is a match made in heaven.

Making the silhouette of a simple look like this a little more interesting is pivotal for me. I LOVE the way a slightly oversized t-shirt sticks out from some high waisted jeans, I also find it a very flattering combination!

2. Go for it with the shoes.

If you are keeping it safe with jeans and a tee, don't miss the opportunity to wear your craziest shoes. Mine are these See By Chloé sandals that I got last summer and LOVE. I am definitely on the lookout for more statement shoes like these for this summer too. And added bonus that these are comfy. YAY!

3. The coolest sunnies!

So these amazing sunnies arrived this week from Sunglasses Shop. I have been wanting to get some round sunglasses for so long, they are just everywhere at the moment and look SO cool. This particular pair are the Ray-Ban 3447 Sunglasses, and I don't know what to tell you other that when I wear them I feel very very cool. I bet it's uncool to admit that, but yesterday I was walking around Manchester and I literally felt the coolest I have ever felt!! They are such a classic shape, and still the perfect statement. Anyways, sunglasses are the perfect accessory to jeans and a t-shirt. Whether a classic style, or a statement pair, make sure you wear your faves!

The latte is an optional part of the look, but their my fave summer drink so I would 100% recommend.

Gucci Suede Mid Heel Pump

After much deliberation I finally made my mind up about the perfect Spring shoe. Of course, with your help too... thank you SO much for all your comments on my haul video. So many of you urged me to keep these ones, so I did!

I had first seen the Gucci Suede Mid Heel Pump online agessss ago, and not really liked them at all. Too girly-ish, too old lady-ish, and just not me. Then, as with so many things nowadays, I kept seeing more and more inspirational outfits featuring either these shoes or some other style of block heeled granny shoe.. and slowly but surely I fell in love.

When I ordered these online I still wasn't 100% sure I would love them. And when they arrived (very quickly too, Gucci has impressively fast delivery) I` was a bit undecided. So, I did what I usually do what I can't make my mind up. Asked you guys, and also tried them on every day for a week with whatever outfit I was wearing. If you are ever unsure on something this is such a good way to make a decision, and it such an effective way to test how well an item will work in your wardrobe. On a few of the days I so badly wanted to leave the house in them, and felt like no other shoe in my wardrobe could compare. That, along with your encouragement, made my mind up! SO... lets talk sizing.. etc etc.

I got a UK 7, which is my usual size. It's the size I have in my Gucci loafers, which fit perfectly! They are slim fitting shoes, and come quite tight around the toes. That being said, when I first tried them on I did find my heels was slipping out the back of the shoe. But I definitely didn't have enough space to go down a size, or even a half size.

So these do run a little large, but once I wore them out and about they felt better. I tried them with an insole in too, which resolved the issue - however, if I wear these for a full day walking (which always makes my feet expand a little), I don't think I will actually need the insole.

They are very comfy. I walked in them for an hour or so yesterday, and didn't notice any areas I felt were going to rub. The toe box is slightly narrow and pinches a tiny bit, but that will definitely fix itself when the shoe gives a little bit.

All in all, these are superrr comfy and easy to walk in. I find a small heel like this to be better for long days on your feet than complete flats.. and also the clippy cloppy noise these make when I am walking makes me feel important, which I like.

I bought mine of Gucci for £420, and they have various colour options here.
