Sometimes really small changes can feel quite significant to your personal style, one of those things for me was wearing socks. Firstly, white socks with white trainers. Myself and so many of my friends were clearing Muji of all their white socks on an almost fortnightly basis. It's the smallest detail for an outfit but it really did feel like it made a difference to the overall look. From there I spread my wings and moved onto black socks with loafers and brogues. A black sock made my Church's brogues more bearable to walk in, and reignited my love for my men's Gucci loafers which were feeling a little neglected. From here, I have moved into the world of coloured socks. Colour doesn't play a huge part in my wardrobe most of the time, but a coloured sock feels very manageable right now. I wanted a blue pair to begin with, and after searching high and low for the perfect shade, Weekday's mens department came through with the goods. I wore them the very next day with my Uniqlo cashmere knit and Arket off-white jeans. I am currently wearing them this very second with my Proenzer Schouler brogues too, I think it may be the beginning of coloured sock love affair!
