JUST LOOK AT THAT WAISTBAND STRETCHING IN THE PHOTO ABOVE!! Shot these photos right after eating my body weight in food at dinner, and no amount of breathing in can hide the fact that I would have ideally liked to walk home with my trousers undone to make room for that giant food baby. As you can probably tell, these photos were shot in the evening, just catching that last light which is coming earlier and earlier with each day. While there are countless things I love about the Winter, blogging with limited daylight hours isn't one of them!
It's also coming close to the moment we say goodbye to wandering home from a dinner wearing a skimpy top and sandals too, which we will be switching out for our boots and knits. I am looking forward to that, but I want to make the most of these outfits while I can because I know that by January I will be missing them again! So I hope you don't mind if some of looks I share in the coming weeks are full of pieces you have seen a million times before over this Summer, and some that you can no longer buy. I have mentioned before how in some ways that makes me a bad blogger, but I think it's more important to share the pieces I love styled up countless ways sometimes.
In fact, all but one piece in this outfit are old wardrobe favourites.
My Charlotte Olympia slides which cut my feet up so bad when I first wore them I actually have scars. I battled through, and have since been determined to wear them whenever I can to make my suffering worth while. I always, always, always without fail get a compliment from a stranger in these when I wear them.
The ASOS blouse that was hugely popular with so many people this Summer. I think at one point it took over about 50% of my Instagram feed - and for good reason too, it's been something I have reached for so many times for so many occassions. It also reminds me of being in LA which was the first time I ever wore it, here is the mirror selfie to commemorate that.
My Jigsaw longline blazer in yellow which I know a lot of you love. I am always on the look out for this blazer in new colours as I think it's one of the best longline blazers money can buy - I actually have it in three different colours now. While my black one is the most worn, this yellow one is the most perfect transitional jacket ever, and I wear it so much each Spring and Autumn.
My Loewe Barcelona bag, still one of the best I have ever bought. I actually saw someone the other day with one, and it's the first time I have ever seen someone else carrying it in the street. It made me love it even more 'cos it looked bloody amazing on her - forever one of my favourite bags.
And the new thing are these chinos from Reformation. While I would have loved the waistband to be elasticated on this particular evening, they are an amazing pair of trousers. Definitely gave this look a bit of a safari vibe, and I love how manly they look. I plan on wearing them with cashmere knits and heeled boots for the Winter.
