I have mentioned before that I want to play around more and more with flash photography. It can be really flattering (emphasis on the can, because some of my favourite photos of me have been with flash on, but there are some which are so bloody awful its unreal!) and for now I have mostly been experimenting with it on film and my iPhone. So I thought I would share a little collection of them today, all of these have been taken over the past month or so around Notting Hill or at home. I want to keep working on this a little more, especially as the dark evenings are getting closer and it becomes harder and harder to shoot content!
These ones with the fancy polaroid style border are all taken on an iPhone with some fancy app, all from evenings at home after shooting or at the pub. Honestly it's the most flattering thing in the world, it's called Shake It and you just take a photo and then 'shake it like a polaroid picture' and voila! Really fun to mess around with because it brings a certain vibe, and generally makes your skin look better than any filter can. Would 100000000% only share these photos from now on if I felt like I could!
These outdoors ones were taken on a balmy evening after shooting a tonne of photos. I actually filmed us shooting this too which you can watch here. I love how in some of them the background goes completely black. Wearing my favourite & Other Stories crop top and tensing up my tummy for dear life because I had eaten a bag of M&Ms by this point which I don't recommend before shooting a look like this.
Another of me at home, this time posing with my Urban Outfitters print. I have just about mastered singing those lyrics, honestly you think it would be easy until you give it a go - mega tongue twister!! I am now waiting for my time to shine when this comes on in a bar and I can sing this section word for word.
Some more messing around at home, as much as I love a good old pose on the street nothing beats photos when you're messing about... ok so I know the one on the right looks super posed but I assure you I didn't wrap that shearling around my shoulders in a serious way!
Hope you guys enjoy me starting the week with something a little different.
