Coming to you today with two white dresses, one old and one new. The new one is the Jacquemus number, a brand I (like many others) am obsessed with at the moment. The way his clothes capture (and evoke) a certain confidence is amazing and I have a Wishlist as long as my arm from his collection. This dress divided people when I shared it on YouTube, with lots of you feeling it was too short and too tight. There is no denying is it both of those things, but personally I love it. I feel amazing when I wear it and of course it's revealing (and also a tad see through), but the design makes me feel so good I can wear it with so much confidence. Previously I had worn it with my new Isabel Marant heels bit this time I opted for my Miu Miu heels (which, by the way, are on sale now), and love how they look together. I don't want to dwell on any negativity for too long but as I did get a lot of slightly disapproving comments about this dress online, I just wanted to say that things like that really don't get to me and I hope none of you would ever be effected by what someone else thinks about your outfit!! I am under no illusion that this dress is a little too short, but I feel good in it so I don't really mind what others might think (that being said, I always welcome your feedback and love the fact we can talk about these things, it just doesn't mean it's going to change my opinion on certain things). So yeah, if you love something and want to wear it, please always do - fashion is always about doing what makes you think good and no one should ever put you off that.
That aside, the second dress is one from last Summer that I still love and feel amazing in. Now I wore this a lot when I was on the ever effective heartbreak diet last year, so it is little tighter now and doing up the zip requires a considerable amount of man power, but I got there in the end with it and the result is well worth it provided I am not too bothered about having a full range of movement or being able to take deep breaths (both things I consider worth wavering for a good dress). The midi length is different for me but I still love it, and once again the Miu Miu heels worked a charm with this look. All shot inside this gorgeous Amsterdam Air B&B which was one of the best I have ever stayed in, it was seriously the most perfect shoot location - just look at that bookcase!
Anyway, I am writing this post from my hotel in Mauritius getting ready for a week of lots of relaxation - I have already shot through so much film and I can't wait to get it developed and share it with you all once I am back. I am also thinking of filming a swimwear video - as I said I have had a little negative feedback online recently about my lookbooks which I am really taking on board a lot so I want to make sure I get something like this right, but I am hoping it can be informative and good content for while I am away too! Anyway, let me know your thoughts and have an amazing weekend!!
