It's been a little while since my last workwear post (you can see the last one here), and these trousers completely inspired me to bring it back again! As you can see, I was having a little moment with print clashing, which is really not a moment that occurs very often for me. It's not surprise that I love tailoring, and it's classic structure makes it an easy one to experiment with a little more. You guys know how important the versatility of a piece is for me, along with making sure what I buy will always work with what I already own in my wardrobe. It's why you see the same pieces on here over and over again, such as this jacket and these very well loved boots. The trousers are unlike anything else I own, but fit seamlessly into my wardrobe, even in a way that allows me to go for something that's a little bit of a statement for me!
So, print clash. Not something I normally go for, but it works so well for this look, and would be such a great way to make a statement with workwear. Keeping it all monochrome keeps it as a cohesive combination, and you know how much I love my longline blazers. For me the combination of cropped trousers and a longline blazer is hard to get wrong, and the classic sillouhette leaves room for experimentation while still feeling sophisticated. It makes it perfect workwear material, and a great way to make a statement in the office while feeling smart and professional. Also you can totally dress these trousers down and wear them outside the office too - keep you eyes peeled for some style inspo on how to do that one too.
