The Making Of A Blog Post

Have I mentioned I am very into Tumblr at the moment (lol, only about 103829 times now). But anyway, yes, I am very into Tumblr. So with that in mind, let me tell you the thought process behind this post (as honest as I can be). One thing I see a lot of on my beloved Tumblr is women wearing a suit and a bra (or nothing at all) and I am really loving it. So that’s been on my mind for a while, you have to wear the suit jacket open to get the Tumblr aesthetic (a rule I just made up) so wearing this out and about didn’t seem really practical (FYI would wear this on a night out, just not to Tesco). So then just last week I met some mates for brunch and the ever-inspiring Monikh had a little Calvin Klein back within which held this amazing matching set. So after brunch I made her take me there so I could buy the exact same set. After a little deliberation over whether I needed a Small or Medium in the top (went with medium, thank god), I left £60 lighter (daylight robbery) with some new comfy underwear.

That evening I tried it on and thought, well well well, I sense a Tumblr moment coming along here. The sports look of the bra would be perfect to wear with a suit as it wouldn’t too see sexy and doesn’t make my boobs look HUGE. Lightbulb moment had happened.

So when it comes to shoot day, my Tumblr moment comes to life. It was chucking it down (thanks England) so shooting outside was not an option, even if I wasn’t topless. Now I am the biggest fan of my flat but even I am getting bored of shooting in there because of the weather, so we went with the next best thing.. the stairway outside. Armed with a Mamiya camera than normally demands a tripod to shoot, we went and shot, and thankfully a steady hand paid off and these photos didn’t come out all blurry. Worn under my & Other Stories suit (that I have never worn a suit before) this look turned out just as I had hoped, and with one button done up when you venture outside would be totally wearable.

So there we have, the incredible inspiring thought process behind this blog post. I can only imagine you amazed you all are by my genius. I’ll be back next week with more (lol, again, I often worry my sarcasm doesn’t come across on here).
