I have been mentioning festival fashion for a while now on the blog. Discussing my take on it, what I would wear, etc etc.. and last weekend, it was finally time to put that all to the test!
As you may have seen in this week's vlog, Harry and I headed to Field Day festival in London. We had an amaaazing weekend - we were there courtesy of Zalando, and organised our tickets through Festicket which I would recommend! It was a super easy way to order online and collect at the gate, which is perfect if you're travelling and don't want the worry of loosing the tickets in your journey.
I wore Zalando looks on both days, and you all have been loving them over on Instagram. So, lets take this one day at a time..
Saturday: of course it rained, a lot, and very very hard. But what would a British festival be without the constant threat of rain?? We got pretty drenched, but as soon as the sun reappeared we were back out there with drink in hand. My outfit for Day 1 all revolved around this jumpsuit, which is 1000000% coming on holiday with me next month - l love it! It was also very comfortable, and I got so many compliments on it throughout the day, so it was pretty much a perfect piece. Throw on some Converse (not new ones like I did, rookie error, they're now a solid brown colour), and some statement sunnies and you are good to go.
Moving onto Sunday, another rainy day that then turned into 'oh it's warm' day and then a 'ahh that's a big cloud' day and back to a 'this is heavy rain' day. I believe I missed my calling as a weather woman. Anyway, it was basically a jacket-off-and-then-back-on-again-and-also-the-jumper day. I went with quite a smart outfit for the day. You guys know how much I love to mix in tailoring with my casual looks, and I figured festival dressing didn't have to be a exception. This dress is an absolute gem too, another piece destined to come on holiday with me, and the perfect addition to my growing shirt dress collection. The print makes everything a touch more exciting, but it's still super easy to wear and style.
I brought along a very old blazer to throw on and off, it came to a great length with the shirt dress so was the perfect cover up. The same statement sunnies as the day before, the now completely wrecked Converse, and a jumper slung over my bag to be extra practical.
All in all, it was a fantastic weekend. We caught some great music, had a few drinks, and in true British fashion - didn't let the rain get the better of us - see more in this week's vlog too!
