You know how with annoying children people always say to just ignore them and they will go away? Well I am applying this to the weather at the moment. If I ignore the fact I came back from Miami (get that tiny violin out please) to SNOW and MINUS temperatures when in fact it is SPRING. I am DEEPLY offended and have been pretending it isn't happening (much to my freezing body's complaints after a weekend without the required layers). As part of this, I shall continue to write about what I am going to be wearing in Spring and Summer. And OH MY GOD NO ONE SAW THIS COMING but it involves jeans and t-shirts. Hope you were all sat down for that bombshell.
No but really I think we all agree this has to be a combination we could wear everyday, were the Beast from the East staying more firmly in the East. Something about an all white/cream look with some heavy black accessories just gets me - and if you needed to add a longline grey blazer onto this you would have me weak at the knees.
The best thing about this look is it doesn't have to be matchy matchy. White is a surprisingly hard colour to match, but having two different tones really makes this outfit work perfectly. I am on the hunt for some long white jeans (FYI Topshop if you can bring this style out in white you will make my dreams come true) so I can alternate between a cropped look and a longer one. I love the cropped with slides, but find something longer works better with loafers and trainers, which we all know I wear on high rotation.
White with gold accessories really is a winning combination. A gold buckled belt (this one his a bronze colour, I think one like this would look even better) and some gold necklaces and it makes a simple look feel so much more elevated, but still keeps it so easy to wear. Hair up, comfy sunglasses on (I think the potential discomfort of certain sunglasses can be overlooked, but my god some of the ones I have are like slow torture) and a bag that fits everything including the kitchen sink and you are good to go.
