Almost Braving It
Oh, the dreaded style rut is here again. I swear I have these moments seasonally - and they are always such a pain. I think this time is due to the fact I've been on my holiday, so my focus on Summer clothes has waned, and I'm not holding my breath for a hot British Summer now. But it's still way too early to start thinking about jumpers and boots (although I wish it wasn't). So it's sort of a weird in between time, made worse by the fact there seems to be nothing decent in the shops. Basically, inspiration is at an a time low, and getting dressed each day is feeling a chore!
So here is an outfit from last week, a product of those "I HAVE NOTHING TO WEAR" moments. I decided to try something a little different and go for all white. These Waven jeans are an incredible fit, and I really don't wear them enough - teamed with my beloved Comme des Garçon t-shirt (picking up another one of these is on my agenda this week, best t-shirt I have ever bought!). However, I chickened out in the end and threw on my Jigsaw blazer. I think in these style rut moments my wardrobe power pieces really do show their worth - and this blazer is the perfect example of that, it makes me feel amazing and works with every single outfit imaginable. Finally, some brown slip on loafers, another old piece in my wardrobe that I still love and wear very often. I have to say, I actually loved the outfit in the end, and will make a habit of wearing white jeans more often as a way to make the usual jeans and tee combination feel a little more exciting!
