Back At It
Will the trend for suits and trainers ever really go away? I feel like it's a look I have loved and gone back to many times, and every time I wear it again I tell myself I should go for this look way more often than I do. It's for sure all about the propotions - there was a time I would have preferred this look with some skinnier suit trousers and my Stan Smiths, but now I am loving a baggier style and some brighter Vans. Broken record alert here but my favourite thing about this is that it often doesn't have to be a suit at all, these trousers are a super dark grey but they still work with the black blazer. I am loving it with a cashmere knit too because the luxe fabric of cashmere definitely helps to elevate the look, maybe it's because I know how soft and gorgeous this knit is in real life, but when I look at the photos it just screams luxury to me and works so well with a baggy suit.
I am writing this post on the plane to Oslo for fashion week for a few nights which I am SO excited about. It’s my first trip of the year and I can’t wait to share some photos from a new location and city. Of course I’m packing this cashmere knit and my black blazer (to wear under lots of other layers, because Oslo is COLD). I am finally feeling inspired by the new season and what’s in the shops - which for some reason also makes me love the clothes I already have more too. Maybe it’s the new ideas that come along of how to style things when you have some new pieces, but I am brimming with outfits I want to wear and share with you all at the moment. And feeling good that these ideas are all including pieces I already have in my wardrobe because sharing those forever pieces will always be the ethos of my blog.
So with some new pieces to share soon, images from a new city.... oh and I shot in a studio earlier in the week and have some of my favourite ever photos to share soon. All in all it’s feeling like the start of a new season even though it’s still January, and I have no complaints about that at all!
