I am back with another white denim outfit - this time a little smarter than the last! These jeans first made an appearance in my straight leg jeans testing basics. They are a great pair of jeans for a good price, and are extremely comfortable, and the mid-rise means they really lend themselves to a tucked-in style, which of course I LOVE! They’re much lighter weight than the GRLFRND ones, so perhaps will come into their own even more during the Summer months.
I took the opportunity to wear my Isabel Marant blazer again. I have been itching to wear this most days, but as it’s a linen mix it isn’t the warmest. I think it’s possibly one of my favourite blazers ever, the print is gorgeous and the shape of it sits in the most flattering way. I cannot wait to wear this with a super simple jeans and t-shirt combo, I can guarantee you will be seeing that look soon! But until then, I chose this combo that I rediscovered in this video. This Acne shirt has been sitting unloved in my wardrobe for ages - mostly because it’s bloody uncomfortable around the neck. That high collar might look pretty good, but it seriously restricts chin movement.
But, from time to time I am willing to sacrifice chin movement for a good outfit, and today was the day for that! And the combination of this shirt and the blazer really is too good to pass up. The mix of white and tan/brown/beige shades (can all those colours be put into the beige family? I am not sure on that one), so these shoes were a must. I am in a bit of a shoe-rut at the moment, which is a first for me (UPDATE!! I wrote this post out on Thursday and have since acquired two new pairs of shoes so all my problems are solved and I shall be sharing them with you very soon!). I am on the hunt for a new pair of loafers to take my through Spring, but the truth is that between these (now quite old) Dorateymur slides and my (now very battered) Gucci loafers, there is no pair that seem to compare! (FURTHER UPDATE: THERE IS AND I FOUND THEM OVER THE WEEKEND, STOP YOUR WORRYING, CRISIS HAS BEEN AVERTED!!!) Do let me know if you have seen any lovely ones anywhere, because I am struggling to find the right pair. (FINAL UPDATE: I NO LONGER NEED HELP, I FOUND THE PERFECT PAIR!!!!!)
