Those of you who follow me on Instagram have already been introduced to the teddy coat. It was an impulse buy last week, off the back of a ASOS browse on the hunt for a coat for my next Testing Basics... and I ended up ordering this, which is totally not in line with the category for the next video. However, I could not pass it up, and I am so glad I got it. I have been wearing it lots since I got it, and I plan to share lots of different ways you guys can style pieces like this up. I think they can feel a little overwhelming as they are so giant, but they look so so amazing it's worth the little styling struggle. For this look I went with a super skinny bottom half - the ultimate flattering pieces, black skinnies, and some pointed black ankle boots to elongate the legs. It balances an oversized top half really well, and really makes the jacket the focus of the look. I had initially just had a black turtleneck on with this to keep a super simple base, but I decided at the last minute I wanted something a little more feminine in there... welcome the slip dress! The lace hem just popped out of the bottom of the jacket so perfectly, which was important as the rest of it is engulfed by the coat.
Anyways, all in all, it's the perfect piece on a grey day to snuggle up in. I think it's going to become my number one partner on trips down to London, to just snuggle up in the collar and get comfy for a couple of hours! So far I have been really impressed with the quality too. On it's first outing it malted like crazy, but it seems to have got that out of it's system and I can wear it without leaving a trail of fluff everywhere I go. Definitely a piece I would recommend for the price!
