MY GOD FASHION WEEK IS TIRING. Let me tell you, I have been there for three days and I need to sleep for about a week. How people do the whole month is beyond me, they are superhuman without a doubt because believe me when I say it is exhausting. This season just gone was my fourth ever Fashion Week. Each one busier than the last, and with more work under my belt every time I go. My gosh I feel so lucky to be able to say that. With that comes a slightly different outlook on what to wear. I’ve no time for spending the day in shoes that hurt too much, clothes that make to too hot or cold, because when you have to work it does little more than slow you down. I want to be physically comfortable, but also feel comfortable in my look in a way that makes me feel ‘me’. Which meant pulling out a few old pieces, from a brand I know well and trust entirely; La Redoute.
So I am going to share two looks I wore over LFW from La Redoute. The first was pretty causal for the first hectic day. I wore my gorgeous lace blouse which I have been wearing quite a bit this month, SO MANY of you guys have complimented me on this - and take my word for it when I say it looks even better in real life. And do you all remember this longline blazer I was raving about a month or so ago? Well obvs I had to bring that with me - you all know that a longline blazer is one of my biggest wardrobe essentials and I couldn’t get ready for LFW without one. It makes the perfect piece to take you through to the evening too (as you shall see, unless you’ve already scrolled down, sneaky sneaky!) Finally my frayed hem jeans which I wore everyday for a week a little while back and had to force myself to leave them alone and actually wear something else but now I’ve put them back on I think I will wear them for another solid week, they’re just SO GOOD!
For the evening I went with a LBD because I am quite groundbreaking when I want to be. I jest, but in all honesty this LBD is the LBD to end all LBDs. The length is so perfect for me, and matches up very nicely with the blazer too. I also took out these gorgeous sandals for the occassions, making the most of the last few moments of Summer with these. The dress has some seriously subtle ruffling over the front which I love, especially when teamed with an androgynous piece like this blazer. All in all, it was the perfect look for a couple of cocktails and evening events at LFW (plus these shoes are easy to walk in, ultimate win!!)
As you can see, the blazer really was the focal point of both these looks. It was the perfect piece for effortlessly styling up two outfits that both looked great but required little thought, which is deffo what you need then you're super busy.
