Mourning my light hair just a little longer here with some shots I did the other week. This was an outfit I threw together last minute, I feel like they so often become some of my favourites because I end up reaching for the pieces I really love and trust to make me feel good.
I've been getting lots of questions about these Toteme jeans, they were sent to me and they are in the high end realm of denim, something I don't always recommend. And honestly I still don't feel like you need to go spend this much on jeans. They are really lovely; gorgeous denim, great fit with a lovely twist seam detailing. But I don't love them anymore than my current favourites from Weekday and trusty old & Other Stories ones. I think if you have your eye on them, are a fan of the brand (I definitely am), then you will wear them and love them - but there is equally great denim available for less.
This knit is a cashmere one I picked up in Weekday that is seriously great. It's a really simple piece, straight up and down, no frills or fuss at all - that style works really well in cashmere because of the way it hangs of effortlessly from the body. The colour is also really great - totally weird and hard to explain, but I like it.
The boots you have heard me rave about already, but I am still loving them in London as much as I was in New York! Such an easy pair to throw on and spice up such a simple look. I am now on the look out for other boots in this style in different colours but they style looks so great with denim and is generally really easy to wear and very comfortable despite being heeled and pointy which is usually a recipe for discomfort.
The jacket is a little more fancy, from DVF and coming in at a hefty price tag too. Again, I was gifted this, I picked it out in store before LFW and it's been a firm favourite for two reasons;
1. It looks amazing. The reason I went for this one was because it's a style I have seen so much on the high street, but this just had such a luxurious feel to it that set it above the rest. The detailing on the pockets, the gorgeous fabric, everything down to the lining is luxurious.
2. It's bloody warm and comfy. So I have been wearing it not just out and about with fancy outfits, but always when I run down to the shops. It's like wearing a cuddle and I love it - it means I know I am going to get so much wear out of it and it's one of those pieces I will never let go.
This whole look is actually made up of pieces I didn't pay for, which is something I thought was worth pointing out. I hope you guys know I will always give an honest review of things whether I have spent my own money on it or not. Whenever the new season comes in I get sent lots of things as brands want to push their new collections, but it's always pieces I pick myself and if I don't like it then I wont feature it on here - or if I do, it will be to tell you all I don't like it. I think most people know that us bloggers get lots of free things nowadays, but it's not often I share a look full of pieces I have been given, so I thought it worth pointing out that it never changed my content or recommendations!
