This week was the first time my heating went on at home. It's a sure sign of Winter, and I am giving more and more thought to my Winter wardrobe each day. Until I decide what pieces I want to invest in this time around, I have been relying on the high street brands to find some amazing pieces to carry me into the new season. One of those is Nasty Gal, a brand I have been long familiar with and has now landed in the UK. I am sure lots of you will know the story of the brand (and if you don't than either the book or Netflix Series Girl Boss will enlighten you on the brands' roots), from a vintage eBay store to a fully fledged high street brand. I was really intrigued to try out some pieces from there, and managed to select some good'uns too.
This skirt is from the 'After Party' vintage section. It's actually reworked Levi's, coming in at an amazing price too. I have been living in my denim skirt throughout the last few weeks of Summer, and I am loving wearing them with knits on the final warm days we still have. It's definitely going to be a spot I check again for vintage Levi's pieces like these, the fit of this is amazing!
This knit is almost a velour texture, making it super soft. It's completely different to my usual wool knits, and the the texture of the fabric gives it a sort of multi dimensional colour to it which you can kind of see in these photos. I am actually sat on the sofa writing this post while wearing this jumper, definitely a testament to how comfortable it is.
The shoes are my favourite piece. I love them with bare legs because they are really leg lengthening but I am also going to wearing them with my straight leg jeans as soon as possible! What I love is the fact the metal on the buckle detail isn't super thick, making the shoes look way more expensive then they are too.
