Winter Essentials + Black Friday Sales

Hey guys! As it's Black Friday today I thought I would create a huggeeeee post for you all (I think this is the biggest post I have ever published, we've got 20 looks in here so get ready) all about my winter essentials, with tonnes of links to all my fave pieces online. All the items linked are participating in Black Friday, lots are using codes so you won't see the discounted price straight away - but keep reading until the bottom of this post and I have included all the codes you will need. I wanted to create a post like this because sales shopping can be a dangerous thing (my bank account has suffered over the years!) So rather than just get carried away in the temptations of discount codes, I have narrowed it down to things that are great to invest in for winter.

1. TWEED

Since introducing my tweed Isabel Marant blazer into my wardrobe, I have been mad about all things tweed. Not only does it look seriously stylish, but it's super warm too. I find it goes with everything, but adds new textures and dimensions to all my looks.

It's a perfect addition to any minimal wardrobe, and there is an array of colours and tones you can opt for too.

Tweed Coat - COS | Sneakers - New Balance | Jumper - COS

Tweed Jacket - Isabel Marant Etoile  | T-shirt - ASOS | Jeans - All Saints

2. CHUNKY SCARVES

When it comes to a scarf, the bigger and warmer the better. I find I can make a huge statement with a scarf, without it even being bright coloured or printed. Just make sure it's hugeeee and also in a contrasting colour from the rest of your outfit and you're good to go.

Both scarves pictured are from COS. Shop my other picks here:

3. FUR COLLARS

Does anything feel more wintery and cosy than wearing a fur collar? Not only are they practical in the winter, but they also look so bloody good! It's a perfect Christmas look... I am thinking of wearing these to the Christmas Markets to get a photo all huddled up holding a mulled wine. Do you get the vibe I am going for?? And I don't even like mulled wine!!

Dusty pink jacket from French Connection, worn with grey cable knit. Denim jacket from ASOS.

4. BLACK ANKLE BOOTS

Do I really need to make a case for how much of an essential black ankle boots are?? I like mine to be leather and with a pointed toe. They get better with age, and look amazing with everything.

Lace up boots from Acne, (on sale!!!) and tassel boots from All Saints - these beauties from All Saints have also made their way onto my Christmas list!

 5. STATEMENT COAT

I am pretty sure most of you guys reach for a coat almost every day throughout winter. I can talk all day about why I think we should all treat ourselves to as many coats as possible, and recently I have been doing just that. Normally a classic and minimal coat is my thing, but recently I have picking out a few statement pieces which have completely revamped so many of my looks!

Colour block coat from Topshop (sadly now sold out), and fur coat from Story of Lola via ASOS.

6. CLASSIC COAT

Even though statement coats are taking centre stage for me at the moment, a classic style will always have a place in my heart (and wardrobe). Whether you prefer long or short, belted or buttoned, just make sure it's at least 50% wool so the material will hang perfectly and will last a lifetime.

Coats from French Connection and Massimo Dutti.

More classic cuts and simple saviours here:

7. FEDORA

Whenever I feel my look is a little too boring, I add a fedora into the mix. I actually love my coloured ones and what they bring to an outfit. These two are both from Catarzi, which is a brand I cannot recommend enough for fedoras.

8. ROLL NECKS

I don't want to think about how many hours I have spent on Pinterest swooning over amazing winter looks... almost all of which will involve some kind of roll neck. I have always loved wearing them, but since cutting my hair into a bob my love and increased by like 17373817181x. Both of these knits are from COS

9. RIPPED JEANS

When it's freezing, it's best to keep all skin under wraps. With one exception - knees! It's never too cold for some ripped denim, and it actually breaks up wintery outfits perfectly. That being said, I recently found these Waven black skinnies that rip down to another layer of denim underneath - so you still get the ripped effect, but without the goose-bump knees!

Blue denim from ASOS, and black from Waven at ASOS

10. THE BOOTS

We have all seen this style of boot everywhereeee recently, and I personally hope they're here to stay! I LOVE the combination of a chunky heel, and a longer length that stops awkwardly on the leg that makes them so much fun to wear and style. Whether it be with bare legs, skinny jeans, there is so many ways to wear these boots and they completely elevate any look.
