I am back today to talk about something I am a true expert at... shoe shopping in the sales. Wayyy more than half of my shoe collection has been bought in the sales, I really am a pro at bagging a pair I have been eyeing up for ages for a fraction of the price. I have filmed a video all about that, but I thought I would include some more information here, a little brand run-down of my three favourites, and a tonne of links to some sale steals.
So my number one shoe designer has to be Alexander Wang - all the shoes I have by him are my comfiest heels (including those mesh toe boots, which I have had for about four years now and still remain one of my all time faves) - I may have treated myself to a little bit of Wang in the sales too, which I shall share with you asap! I find Alexander Wang to fit true to size, they're also some of the most walkable heels I own.
My go-to for classic shoes is Saint Laurent, specifically their Paris pumps, which are my favourite pumps ever (pictured above). They come in array of colours, and I have managed to find a few in the sales (lots from Harrods, who have 30% off shoes at the mo). Sizing wise on these, I would reccomend going half a size smaller. The two pairs I have are in two different sizes - 40 (my normal size), and 39.5 - I find the 39.5 has fitted better over time as the shoe gives a little! I also have added a few more Saint Laurent pieces, just to temp you!
Another designer I am loving for classic style is Gianvito Rossi. The patent lace up pair above were my sale purchase from last Christmas, and while they're not exactly a classic, they do go with everything! My Gianvito Rossi sandals that I bought in the summer (also a sale steal) are some of the comfiest heels I own. Gianvito Rossi fits completely true to size, but if you have a narrow foot I would also recommend going a half size down in a pump.
I have focused on heels here so things to get too overwhelming, but let me know if you would like to see a similar post about flats too!
