Bought this insane jacket last week as what I am hoping will be the perfect Spring/Summer jacket. The one that currently reigns supreme in my wardrobe is my linen Toteme one, and while something being out of stock never stops me sharing the things I love and wear all the time, I was on the hunt for another one I loved as much that you guys can get your hands on. I think I may well have found it too.
This one is from Lemaire, and is the ultimate grandad piece. The dark khaki colour, huge pockets and waist belt - it’s perfeclty understated with just the right amount of details there too. It's quite thick meaning it has this insane structure, and will be perfect to wear with a vest top (as shown here) in the Summer - the 90s resurgence has me very into tank tops and vest tops for the Summer. That being said, we must be realistic about the British summertime and we all know there will be the grey days in there too, but I think this with my long leg Weekday jeans, some loafers and a lightweight knit would be a killer combination too. AND I am also thinking with my Louboutin nude courts that I cannot walk in, an LBD of some sort and this jacket would be an amazing look for a fancy evening out.
Do you all like it when I talk about outfits like this? It's always the thought process I go through when I get something new - talking about all the ways I want to wear it, then hopefully share those looks with you all when I do get to wear them. I must remember to reference back to these posts more often in later ones to judge how good I am at predicting those looks right! Anyway, so far I have been wearing it with little clothing underneath due to the hot weather in London last week. My white Levi's cut offs and white ribbed tank top are the perfect foundation to any outfit really, and of course my love for my Miu Miu shoes is still very strong indeed. I also ventured out in one of my new Realisation Par dresses and my new Attico slides (wearing these none stop. they're amazing), and it makes me think this jacket might be quite fun to pair with some colours too. All in all it feels like a piece with lots of styling options and one that will sit seamlessly into my wardrobe, in other words a very good purchase indeed.
