Oohhh I am excited about this post guys! I worked with Dune almost exactly one year ago to share some of the A/W pieces which I shot in Vancouver - and I am getting to do it again this year, but this time shot in New York! I have to say I think this collection is so much stronger than the last, and these shoes have been on a regular rotation for me since I got them.

I am going to start with my favourites which are these glitzy slips ons. They won a recent Testing Basics, and I am pleased to report that even after a few more wears they are still holding up strong. Every gem on them is still intact, and they even survived a particularly elegant moment of me falling up some stairs yesterday. They are so comfy and all-around fabulous. I have mostly been wearing them with jeans and a white t-shirt or a shirt, but as it was a little warmer in NYC I decided to get my legs out. They are a great option for those of you who don't like wearing heels if you fancy a bit of a posh shoe on an evening. Worn with something like this, or your favourite jeans and a crisp white shirt - they really do take an outfit up a notch while still being a comfortable option. And if you have a few too many and fall up some steps they will survive it...

We are now moving on to a red shoe theme. This wasn't intentional at all, but clearly it's something I am into. Red suede and denim is a pretty dreamy match (it's actually got me thinking about hunting down a red coat for Winter), and these boots are the bestOnce again, they're super comfy. I wore them to LFW which always entails a lot of standing about and walking and I had no complaints at all from them. I love the pointed toe, and while the heel is a little lower than I would usually opt for, I think they actually look really good for it. The boot itself is a great length to wear with your cropped denim, where the hemline just sits above the top. I am wearing them with lightwash denim for now, but will be switching that for a indigo wash with a black cashmere knit in the coming weeks. With either a check blazer or black wool coat thrown over there too, it's an outfit I cannot wait to wear!!

And finally, another slip on loafer! I am one day away from just turning into a slip on shoe. No complaints from me though, they really are the best style of shoe and I am wearing them as much as possible while weather permits. This whole colour combination is just a dream, and as I said works with those gorgeous boots too. Something about that check print and a red shoe just gets me! I think over the past year or so I have shown enough outfits with loafers to make a novel about how to style them, but honestly, they look amazing with everything. They are so leg lengthening too and if, like me, you constantly have blistered heels then they are always a good respite from some discomfort. And don't be afraid to go for a bit of colour, this is the second pair of red loafers I have and they really are super versatile, doesn't always have to be the black ones ot make them a wardrobe staple!
