Sale Picks

I am seriously partial to a bit of sales shopping. I think it's a great time to invest, and so many of my designer pieces have been sale find. I completely recommend going for pieces that will stand the test of time in your wardrobe, while doing a little less damage on your purse! Try not to get too enamoured with the price tag, while there is nothing wrong with seeing something in a new light when it feels suddenly more attainable, try and think if it will go with five pieces you already own before taking the plunge! I always use that trick, which is why you see me wearing the same pieces so many times too! So, I have put a few looks together for you guys to shop from, and I have also made a cheeky order from these myself!

Also, the picture above is completely unrelated to this post.. I just liked it. So there we go.

First up we have what is at the forefront of my mind recently - holiday clothes! My taste for holiday clothing doesn't change very much, so while we don't often get chance to wear them, I tend to keep the pieces for years and years! So, an investment is all good in my eyes.

A playsuit is perfect for your jollies - I often wear mine once for a day/evening, then re-wear as a beach coverup (which, we all know, get a bit sweaty and suncream covered), so it's the perfect way to re-wear an item!

Team it with a hat for an effortlessly pulled together look, and for packing a hat, pack clothes around it - so fill it with socks/knickers, that way it will keep it's shape!

PLAYSUIT: SEE BY CHLOÉ (£113 from £225) | HAT: FEDERICA MORETTI (£138 from £82) | BAG: HILLIER BARTLEY (£626 from £895) | SANDALS: MAX MARA (£96 from £160)

Now, onto the evenings. I love to make the most of wearing those pieces I only really feel comfortable in with when I am on my jollies. One of those pieces is deffo the maxi dress. It's such an effortlessly chic piece, but for me, completely reserved for while I am away!

You can really wear these in so many ways, and they look just as great with some slides as they do some heeled sandals. But adding some jewellery makes everything so much more evening-appropriate.

DRESS: THE GREAT (£193 from £395) | BAG: SAINT LAURENT (£483 from £690) | SHOES: ISABEL MARANT (£258 from £430) | CHOKER NECKLACE: ISABEL MARANT (£77 from £155) | LONG NECKLACE: ISABEL MARANT (£51 from £85)

Now, I don't really do 'workwear' as I don't have an office job, but that does not stop me taking inspiration from it and finding ways to wear it day to day. This is an outfit I would wear to any occasion I wanted to look smarter and put together. I LOVE shirt dresses so so much, and teamed with a longline blazer... well, that is just my idea of a dream combination.

These shoes, AHH these shoes! I love them so so much and I am so tempted to order them, I love the heel, and I think they would also look seriously good with some cut off jeans.

SHIRT DRESS: ACNE (£174 from £290) | BLAZER: ACNE (£360 from £650) | SHOES: RACHEL COMEY (£313 from £448) | BAG: JIL SANDER (£693 from £990)

Okkkkk, so I may have accidentally on purpose ordered one of the items on this little selection! As soon as I saw the item in question I fell in love it, and couldn't believe my eyes when I saw the price... yep, £?? for this gorgeous Totême jacket!! I love it so much, it should be arriving today too... so exciting!

Anyways, everyday looks, and my never ending love affair with denim. I love the hems on this pair, and the relaxed fit makes them perfect for a causal look. Also, how incredible is that bag? It is available in more wearable colours, like black, but I love this ugly green shade! A perfect colour for time of year, to take you right through to Autumn.

JEANS: VICTORIA BECKHAM (£150 from £250) | JACKET: TOMÊME (£175 from £350) | BAG: MARK CROSS (£819 from £1,170) | TOP: TOMÊME (£114 from £190) | SHOES: CASTANA (£70 from £100)

Finally, looking ahead to transitional looks. I love the transitional times of the year, where you give the older items in your wardrobe a new lease of life by teaming them with the new season pieces. As I have mentioned before, one of my favourite combinations is knits and sandals. And that gets a whole let better when you add some leather culottes into the mix - I am really feeling like my wardrobe is missing a piece like these! Leather is always a great thing to invest in the sales, as you can always expect to spend a relatively hefty price tag for it, so it's good to save where possible!

No matter the trends, come September I hope to be rocking something like this - I am almost wishing Summer away already just thinking about these kinda looks!! Ahh!

LEATHER CULOTTES: BY MALENE BIRGER (£441 from £630) | KNIT: FRAME (£195 from £325) | BAG: SOPHIE HULME (£297 from £495) | SHOES: DIANE VON FURSTENBERG (£74 from £148)
