A hugggeeee post today of all the beach snaps Mum took for me while we were on holiday last week. We got to spend a whole week in Mauritius at the Club Med Albion, Club Med very kindly let us stay free of charge, but all the flights we paid for ourselves and of course everything written here will be very honest indeed. I don't think I realised how much I needed a holiday which is usually the way these thing go, but it was so good to spend time mostly reading books, away from screens and listening to the sea as a constant sound track, I can't remember the last time I had a holiday like this one! The beach at Club Med was incredible and definitely the highlight, we were there off peak so it was almost always just us on the beach, with amazing clear waters it was literally a sunbathing heaven. Hopefully these photos really get that across too! I will talk about the rest of the resort in Friday's post which shall be the 'off beach' edition of this one, but as I said time spent lounging on this beach was really the best.
I also got the chance to shoot more swimwear content than I ever have before. Of course I have spent more time in bikini this year through my travels than ever before, but aside from the odd photo here and there I have never really shot loads of swimwear stuff. It can be kind of daunting, and I spoke about this a little in a recent video, while I now know how to stand a pose to make clothing look good, swimwear seems like a whole new arena. It certainly involves lots of tensing of abs and adding on t-shirts and accessories wherever possible to break things up a little bit. I really do love these photos though and this sort of content feels new for me and is something I would love to do more of (perfect excuse to spend more time on a beach for sure). For this post I also spent some time scanning the film negatives - the ones you see with all the scratches visible are all the scans, and I also love how they have turned out. I really want to push my film content, get better at editing, spend a bit more time on making my blog posts feel a little more interesting. Any feedback from you guys would be amazing, from what you want to see more of, whether posts like this are too big? Whether you prefer just one outfit per post, less talking, more talking? Alllll that good stuff.
