In the face of this polar vortex, there is frankly only two options; do not leave the house under any circumstances, stock up on biscuits and blankets, challenge yourself on how much tea one human can drink in a day and find a Netflix series. OR refuse to give in, wear some colour and frankly impractical outfits and just a lot of thermals underneath (Testing Basics meant I spent yesterday in a blazer, the dedication to this is very real). Colour has been making more and more of an appearance in my wardrobe over the past year, and while it still is mostly a very neutral affair, there are little bursts here and there. Such as these Topshop boots I got last November, and who remember the red Dune ones I wore a fair bit throughout Winter? I still love those boots. This jacket is a new acquisition from Massimo Dutti - I have long been a fan of mustard yellow, for both clothes and interiors, and the shape of this jacket combined with the colour made it a really stand out piece to me. It's a perfect Spring piece... she says while wearing it in the depths of Winter, but we must suffer for fashion sometimes.
While I have been wearing more and more colour over recent months, I feel like I don't often wear two bright colours together like I am here, and I have to say I am really into it. As always, it helps me that I am just wearing jeans and a t-shirt underneath, so this isn't feeling too out there for me. I know I have said this before but sticking with what you know and love as a base to experiment with other things is always the best way to not feel uncomfortable in something new.
Now do excuse this one being short and sweet, I know a lot of you like it a short post from time to time (thank god, because my mental capacity often fails me when it comes to writing more), but I have one heck of a to do list ahead of me today!
