Today I come to you with my final blog post in collaboration with GANT. We have already discussed their Diamond G range, their gorgeous new store in Leeds, and today I am going to focus on the GANT Originals collection. You may remember this shearling number from this blog post?? Well, get ready for me to seriously sing it’s praises. What I didn’t let you all know last time, was that it’s actually reversible - so let’s get going with two looks I styled this piece with!
For the first look I went full shearling. I actually think I like it best this way, the deep rich navy makes the whole piece feel so luxurious, which is added to with the super soft texture of the shearling. It makes it the perfect piece for a casual outfit, just adding the right amount of glamour and luxury. I slipped on my white leather trainers again, which are so bloody comfy they are just a dream! And sticking with comfort (as always!) I then went for this gorgeous grey knit. It’s a cable knit but not super chunky so it’s great for wearing under coats and jackets. I have some amazing chunky knits that I really love, but when you pop a jacket over the top it’s just so bunched up and uncomfortable! Throw on your favourite pair of jeans and you are good to go, and as things get a little colder (and wetter, I am writing this post with drenched hair after just dashing out for a few minutes) switch up the trainers for some boots... I am loving this pair here.
For the second look I went a little smarter. I think this look could sit within my workwear series too, as if you had a more relaxed dress code this outfit is a great balance between smart and causal (smasual, as I like to call it). The smart aspect mostly comes from this shirt with the gorgeous bow detailing - it’s funny how just a bow can completely transform a white shirt. Unlike the previous post, where the white shirt sat as an androgynous piece in the outfits, this one is now so much more girly and feminine! I am loving it too, especially to wear with my androgynous loafers - which are the second smart aspect of the look! I love the fact that they're patent too as they just stand out against the matt textures in the rest of the outfit - and anything that makes these shoes stand out more is a good thing in my book as I love them so much!
As you can see I have the jacket on the other way around here, suede side out, shearling side in. It definitely has smarter vibes when worn this way around, and despite it's relaxed fit it can certainly be a great piece for workwear or even for an evening look. And, it goes without saying, it's ridiculously warm and cosy!
