Last week we made quite the discovery and properly explored the gardens at my flats. There are huge communal gardens which I have never really ventured in as I don't have a key for the door, but I am now going to move hell and high water to get my hands on one so I can spend more time in these gorgeous gardens. It was such an amazing discovery, and the perfect time of year for it when all the colours are at their very best.
It wasn't the location I had in mind for this look, which was something I had worn on a night out with a friend over the weekend, and I really wanted to share it as I bloody loved the look. But while my night out didn't start in the garden, the colours work so perfectly with this location!
The outfit was styled from the feet up because I was desperate to wear my new Dear Frances boots. They are the exact same style as my beloved spirit boots, but a knee high version. They are literally a dream, and this is the second outing I have had with them. So far I have just worn them with mini skirts because they help to make a great transitional look - in a similar way to how over the knee boots do, but I personally think these are a little cooler. I am also planning on wearing them with some black skinnies and an oversized t-shirt so hopefully I can share that look soon. Knee high boots are a tricky one to style but I am feeling like they're going to become a big part of my wardrobe this winter. Plus they have some serious Buffy vibes which is always a good thing in my books.
The mini skirt I went with this time is this & Other Stories number which I love! I am writing this post from LA where this skirt has had a couple of outings - I love the pierced detailing and the thigh split, it's such a good evening piece!
Because it's feeling increasingly like winter I went for a black high neck knit, and my favourite ever blazer from Stella McCartney - I know I have said this before but matching up the hem lines of mini skirts/dresses and your outerwear is such a good styling tip to tie an outfit together. And my beloved Loewe Puzzle bag, I have actually ordered a new Loewe bag that should be with me very soon and I will of course be sharing with you all ASAP. I also did a little thing with FarFetch about Black Friday bag shopping that you can read here.
