Dean and I experimented with some black and white film last week around Notting Hill. On Portobello Road to be exact, which is super colourful and vibrant and feels completely different when you see it in black and white. Portobello is my local spot for so many things (which often makes me pinch myself too), and is one of my favourite roads I have ever known. There is such a mix of everything; people, shops, cafes and bars. From a hidden away Soho house, right next to a tacky London souvenir shop - it is honestly one of the most eclectic streets you can imagine. I walk down their most days, whether that be to get to the gym, to go to Snappy Snaps (where I get my film developed), or to the local Tesco, and every time there is so much to see. Nevermind the famous market that comes on a weekend - which I have a love/hate relationship with because it makes it nightmarishly busy to walk down there on a Saturday because so many tourists descend upon Notting Hill.
And this is the sort of look I would normally be seen rushing down Portobello in (maybe swap the heels out for loafers or trainers on most days), easy peasy outfit that I know you have seen many times before from me, but I wanted this post to be more about the vibe of my gorgeous neighbourhood rather than the outfit. No matter how itchy my feet sometimes feel, and how restless I am in life at the moment, nothing feels as good as when I in a taxi back from an airport and drive back into Notting Hill. It's crazy how fast somewhere can feel like home, and I am always so grateful I get to live here - I already can't wait to look back on the time I get to spend here when I am older, I have already made so many amazing memories here and I know there will be so many more.
ALSO SIDE NOTE because my brain always goes off on a tangent - totally undecided on what I should do with my hair? Does this warrant a whole post, is this boring?! I need help, I am in a hair-rut, which is new but I always seem to be in some sort of bloody rut.
