What could be more fitting than writing a post about how things change about us, how leopards can change their spots, while wearing some amazing spotty trousers! I am always a little on the fence regarding whether or not people change. I think fundamental things and habits often stay the same, like when you meet up with a friend you haven't seen for years, and they are still so much of the same person but with a few new aspects to them here and there. I think for me personally, the main thing that changes about me is my priorities and how the changing circumstances in your life influence that. For instance, when I lived in Manchester I wasn't really interested in travelling. I was settled at home, loved having as much of a routine as possible, and was happy with the content I could create while I was in England. Now, it's so different for me. I can't stop looking at different flights, hotels, destinations, places I want to see and shoot in. I have been in London for about a week and a half now and can't wait to get away again, whereas any travels I did a years ago I would have been so happy to get back home and would relish a few weeks there. I am sure as things change in life again it will all shift again, but to be open to these changes is so important, and just to make the most of however you're feeling as much as you can do.
There are also a few things that will never change about me; I will always be obsessed with Buffy, I have been for about 10 years now so I can't see that changing. I will always be a odd mix between very organised and very chaotic. I power through huge amounts of work at high speed, plan and plan and plan everything perfectly, surrounded by complete and utter chaos (no matter how much I try to stop it). I will always be an annoying morning person. I will always have a sweet tooth that I struggle to control (hoping that one does change with age, but my Mum's love for chocolate is even worse so I doubt it).
Anyway, a quick chat about the outfit. These trousers are from Jigsaw and have been a good alternative to jeans for me recently, they are so comfy and the print makes them such a stand out piece - the other day I went and developed some film and got complimented on them three times in what was a very short walk out of the house indeed. I love the cropped length of them (note: they look mega long the model online, and they're really not, I am 5"8), and they have an elasticated waist band which lends itself to the aforementioned sweet tooth. I wore them with a HUGE oversized t-shirt (a knit at some points, this was before the heat wave weekend when the weather was a little less consistent), and my fave black blazer. I bloody loved this outfit, and hope you all do too!
