I am sure you will all agree it's pretty tricky getting dressed for what seems to be all four seasons rammed into one day. Yesterday we had sunshine, snow, hail, and rain.. I mean where do you begin?! Here is my solution, from shoes to hat:
Shoes: My feet are pretty hardy after the abuse I put them through, and I have spent many a winters day in backless shoes. SO if I am going to expose one area of skin to the element, then the feet it shall be! So I catered for the sunshine part of the day with my footwear.
Jeans: As it's supposedly Spring I wanted to go for a lighter denim wash, but not too light as it does seem to like to snow in Spring. Grey is the perfect to cover all bases.
Top: This is a thin knit from Warehouse which is short sleeved. While the weather does cater for long sleeved thick knits in the afternoon, we must be prepared for part of the day to be blue skies and sunshine, so don't get carried away with wrapping up. The key to dressing for four seasons at once are pieces that themselves can be worn year round.
Coat: This one is another item to cover all bases. This particular one isn't lined so is a little cooler, how Spring like of me. BUT remember, it might snow, so that's why a long coat is a good choice for trudging through a blizzard (slight exaggeration)
Hat: It was hailing. Hard. Hail hurts. Wear a hat for protection.
