Make Your Summer Rose
I don't know about you guys, but I have been feeling those Summer vibes recently. The lighter moods, more laid back attitudes, and generally all the side effects of a bit of sunshine (albeit very rare bit of sunshine!) So, I thought I would do a post all about those perfect Summer days, in collaboration with PANDORA and their stunning PANDORA Rose collection.
I didn't want to make this post all about Summer holidays - obviously they are the highlight of our Summers, but what about the rest of the time? I think the time spent exploring the place you live is pretty exciting too, and I will be splitting my Summer between my two favourite UK cities - Leeds and Manchester. Yorkshire and Lancashire, splitting myself between the two rose counties, and loving them both for different reasons.
First up, Leeds. Without a doubt the most vibrant city in the White Rose county. I have grown up in Leeds, and from being old enough I have always spent my weekends there. Harry and I actually had our first ever date in Leeds, at the cinema, aged 14!! Not only is it expanding at a rate of knots, but there are so many amazing places to explore that have been a part of the city for years and years. So last week Mum and I spent the day wandering the street of Leeds, shopping and drinking coffee along the way...
It was the perfect way to spend a Summer's day in Leeds... even if the weather did make it feel a little more like an Autumn's day, but that is to be expected in the North! Mum and I explored the Corn Exchange for the independent boutiques, had iced coffee at Mrs Atha's, and did a spot of mooching on the high street too. For our day out I wore a combination I know and love, but wanted to show you guys how you can spice up the old favourites with jewellery. I am a long time fan of a man's shirt and high waisted jeans, it strikes the perfect balance between sexy and androgynous, and adding some jewellery introduces a little bit of femininity into the mix. I lovee the layered jewellery look, but I do find it hard to know what pieces to combine. Shopping from a full collection makes it wayyyy easier as the job has already been done for you! You know they're all going to work well together, so pick'n'mix it to create the combination that you love. I went for a shorter necklace in a really classic design - the Rose Hearts of PANDORA necklace, encrusted in a little bit of glam sparkle! For the layered look, I then added the PANDORA Rose Feather Pendant which is my absolute fave from the collection - I love how intricate it is but still so minimal and understated.

Now onto the county of the Red Rose, and it's most incredible city; Manchester. I have been living here for nearly eight months now, and it has truly stolen my heart. I love it here so much, and I cannot tell you how excited I am to spend the Summer here with the incredible friends I have made! My favourite area to explore is the Northern Quarter, which is the perfect setting for a Summer evening out - as Harry and I put to the test last week. There are so many places to eat and drink around the Northern Quarter that you are truly spoilt for choice. I am just loving those balmy Summer evenings where we wander out to grab a bite to eat and enjoy a cocktail or two.
So, my outfit for such an occasion - obviously it has to still include denim! The Northern Quarter isn't super fancy, so for the most part I like to keep it smasual (smart-casual), hence jeans being the perfect piece. I decided to wear this amazing jacket as a top too (I did have to pin it, so bear that in mind if you are tempted by it!) I wanted to go for something low cut to show off my Rose Hearts of PANDORA necklace which looks extra sparkly in the evening light! Lets talk about these rings too - again I am making the most of the beautifully curated collection and stacking a couple of pieces together. First is the Rose Hearts of PANDORA ring, the ultimate understated piece that I would wear everyday. But to make things a little more evening appropriate (although I did wear them in the daytime while in Leeds too!) I added the Feather ring. Just as with the Feather Pendant necklace, it's the ideal balance between statement and understated.
