The hight street always reigns supreme in my Summer wardrobe. When I shop for Summer pieces I always feel like I am shopping for a wardrobe I will only wear for a few weeks. And while there are some pieces that do make it on holiday with me every year, for the most part I refresh it every Summer. Hence the high street being the best place for it, not huge investments but you can still find some amazing pieces to make you feel amazing on holiday. And ASOS is the best place for those of you who look at their diary and go "ahh so the date of my holiday which is very much seared into my memory is actually next week" before the usual panic and 'oh my god why does time go so fast' moments, and so on and so forth. The next day delivery is my life saviour in those moments, and the guarantee you're always going to find something you like on there.
They have so many things to choose from it can be so overwhelming. I tend to start my ASOS shopping with a search for some inspiration on Pinterest to narrow down what I want to try and find. The good thing about the vast stock is that you're likely to be able to recreate something you love. I found myself stopping at lots of images with white dresses. Admittedly a lot of those were on girls a lot more tanned than me, but there is something so fresh and chic about a cotton white dress for Summer. I had initially begun my search with a shirt dress in mind, something I never tire of. Then this gorgeous one caught my eye! The amazing sleeves were what sold me, I think it makes it look like a super expensive piece. I also love the idea of showing off your shoulders and covering your arms, a little different to my usual Summer holiday looks.
You could really style this up with any shoes. I am planning on wearing this at home (when it stops raining, England, PLEASE STOP RAINING) with some high top converse and a longline blazer. But to really up the holiday vibes I went with these insane slides. These are like a Summer holiday embodied in a pair of shoes. The colour, the raffia material, everything. They're ideal for throwing on with the most simple of outfits to really spice things up a little bit!
