Apologies to each and every one of you because you will now have that song in your head for the day, but I have had in mine since I wore this outfit on Friday so it's only fair to pass it over to you all a little bit?? Also seems fitting because obviously I am wearing head to toe blue (totally different, totally loving it), but also I am a little blue at the moment after being ill and of course being hugely dramatic about it. It's sort of sapped my mojo from me a little bit and my eyes still aren't fully back to normal so the while fiasco feels like it's been going on for ages now. So wearing blue felt like a fitting way to embrace it, and trying a 'smize' to hide the fact my eyes are quite back to normal just yet (getting there though). I have had the two components of this outfit for a few weeks and was yet to wear them together incase it all felt a little too overwhelming. Aside from the fact there is no denying this looks like someone a car mechanic would wear, I am really loving this look. I remember when colour barely featured in my wardrobe, and while it still is a predominantly monochrome affair, whenever I wear things like I am reminded of just how much of a difference colour can make to an outfit. This in all black or anything else would never have the same impact, and while the colour is really bold, blue actually feels like manageable colour to wear and fit within my wardrobe because it's the same colour as denim and any similarities with that are gonna work for me. Let's be straight up here, of course these two pieces are easier to wear separately than they are together. The blue shirt has been tucked into many a pair of jeans and a mini skirt for me, the trousers worn with skinny fitting tops to really show off the shape of them more too.
Anyway, really hoping that outfits like these that make me feel good will generally lift me from this funk and my mojo will be back soon. As always I am mostly feeling it on YouTube which is the platform that always gets the brunt of any bad patch I am going through, but I promise to keep on with it all as much as possible while drinking more water and eating more fruit then anyone would think possible so that I don't go and get ill again!
