Different Denim

I love denim. Bombshell, I know. I wear denim on the daily. Another bombshell. So, I am always on the look out for different styles that I can still easily wear. Ever since I saw these this style of denim on my fave blogger (Lucy Williams, Fashion Me N0w) they have been firmly on my mind. I feel they may be an acquired taste, and it took me a few attempts to find an outfit I really liked them with - but I do love the look I ended up with. They fit me like a glove, and I think if you were a little shorter (I am 5"8) and these skimmed the floor, they would look even better. There is something about them I can't quite put my finger on; sort of 90s Mum/country vibe to them. They did make me feel really different when I was wearing them, which isn't something I am too used to. I always think about whether or not individual pieces and outfits feel like 'me', so walking around Manchester feeling a little less like 'me' just because of a pair of jeans was quite odd. I do mean that in a good way though, it is so refreshing how something as simple as a different style of denim can make me feel so different!

As I was a little stuck on how to style them, I ended up going for something super simple. Just pieces that have been in my wardrobe for a while that I would normally reach for on days when I am not doing much, or feeling like I don't know what to wear. Not much more to say on that one, they're all probably pieces you all have in your wardrobe too and can reach to on those 'nothing to wear' days.

These are my second pair from GRLFRND denim (check out this post to see the other pair I have), and so far they are a denim brand I am seriously impressed with. I actually have another new pair to share with you guys too which will be coming up very soon. You know how much I love denim so I am always happy to find a new brand I can recommend - the pair I already own have been through the wash too and have come out just the way they went in.
