Spring Lookbook

Coming up is one hell of a post, AND a video - so grab a cuppa and get settled!

You will all have seen Zalando pop up on my blog before. I have worked with them several times now, and I always wear the items they send me over and over, so at least once a week the name Zalando pops up on my blog. It's an incredible site full of thousands of items.. making it a site I have lost many an afternoon too. This time I have teamed with Zalando to create a Spring lookbook, and scroll wayyyy down to the video (or click here) to see the unboxing/first impressions/haul part of this lookbook. I have five outfits here for you, all of which are pretty damn perfect for Spring... if only the sun would come out and I am good to go! I've got a mix of looks; casual and laid back, right the way up to evening outfits with some incredible statement shoes.

First up we have this amazing top - my Mum has been calling this my hospital gown, and while I see where she is coming from, it doesn't put me off this at all!! Not only do I love the open back for how it looks from behind, but also the way it makes the top sit out at the front. It gives it amazing structure which makes it seem like even more of a statement, while not being too OTT.

For the second and third looks I went with these gorgeous white jeans from Waven. I have been after the perfect pair for a while now, and finally found them! I think it's a great way to feel a little more Spring like in your normal looks - just switch the blue denim for the white! That being said, they can be tricky to style. For my first look I went for a very transitional outfit. Inspired by my endless Pinterest searching, white denim and knitwear is a combo I have been wanting to go for for a while now. Teamed with these amazing Whistles sandals (I've already spoken about why I think these are a perfect transitional shoe) and I was good to go. The second outfit I went for a light colour palette - something I think always looks very chic. But for someone used to wearing black and dark colours most of the time, it really did feel like a step out of my comfort zone. But by incorporating pieces I know I feel comfortable in (i.e a longline blazer) it makes it much less scary!

Here we have some INCREDIBLE Tibi shoes. I am expecting these to be a love/hate thing for most people - they are certainly a statement. Personally, I love them. They are just the most perfect update on a classic two strap shoe. I think the key to wearing them is to think of them as a two strap shoe - a style I'm sure most of us own and can wear and style quite confidentially. For this look I wanted something I would wear for a night out - dressed up but using minimal and effortless pieces. This striped dress is my perfect t-shirt dress, the thick material giving it the perfect amount of structure (just FYI, I pinned this up a good 3 inches as it was VERY oversized, so I recommend going a size down!) And shoes like these are the perfect way to spice up an otherwise very simple outfit.

Finally is this AMAZING Whistles jumpsuit. I've been eyeing this up for a while, I love a jumpsuit for Summer and this one could not be more perfect. It cuts in quite narrow at the sides, and is pretty much backless, so for the time being I am layering pieces underneath. However, come Summer holidays, I am going to go for it and just wear a pretty bra underneath that I don't mind flashing a little bit. This is also going to be a great evening piece! When I was deciding how to style it I nearly went with heels - it looked so good with some courts! However, I went with trainers to make this more of a day-to-day look. Also just a 'lil secret here: I actually wore this with a leather jacket which I took off to shoot with so I could show off the back of the jumpsuit. BUT it looked so good with the leather... I must get an outfit up with that combo ASAP!
