Well, it's not everyday you find a greenhouse in the middle of Manchester. But Sunday was the day we did, and what a wonderful backdrop it made! I think this is the most glam I have ever been on a Sunday. The whole look was styled around these incredible Saint Laurent boots which I snapped up in the sales last week. For me, knee high boots are the ultimate grown up shoe. I remember how much I wanted a pair when I was younger, partly because they seemed like such a grown up choice, and partly because Buffy Summers rocked a knee high boot better than anyone ever will. They still make me feel super grown up and sophisticated now, and over the coming weeks and months I am hoping to how you how versatile they can be. I mentioned yesterday how I take the plunge and purchase something out of my comfort zone, well before I bought these I did the same 'which three outfits?' game.

If you're wearing jeans with these boots then you are limited to skinnies, and a high waisted pair will keep everything really nicely leg lengthening too. To play on the length proportions I went with a longline coat (this is sort of midway between a coat and a cardigan), which made me feel even more grown up and sophisticated! I did slip on a cropped jacket with this look and it was insane how much of a difference the length of outerwear made to the whole outfit.

I think what I like so much about the boots is they feel kind of fun, while still being such a classic piece. They transform outfits in a way no other shoe style can, and while they are tricky to style, they can look incredible with the right look. And of course the fact they make me feel a little bit like Buffy, which is always a life goal of mine. Although I do still need to be able to run in them to achieve full Buffy status, which I think would result in a broken leg.

Keep your eyes peeled for more looks with these boots, I am hoping to show lots of different ways you can style them. I have also linked a few more of my favourite styles below so you can have a browse through those. And I have added a new page to my blog! You can now shop my wishlist too, and see what I am loving in the shops at the moment. I am going to use it to curate my favourite pieces from my favourite shops online so you don't have to spend hours browsing online too. Hope you enjoy!
