Holiday Outfits | Statement Trousers

Last week I begun my holiday posts with a chat about body confidence, but this week we are really getting down to it with the holiday outfits. I will have looks coming your way everyday this week, and hopefully can give you some holiday outfit inspo if you guys are going away soon. First up, we have statement trousers. I mostly wore dresses on holiday as part of a video I am filming, but I had to get a trousers look in there too. I have always been a huge fan of trousers on holiday, and generally find myself being a bit more partial for statement pieces in the Summer months (maybe it's because I know I won't get to wear the pieces very much?). So, here we have these incredible trousers.

I bought them in Topshop a few weeks ago, and they have turned out to be a key player in my Summer wardrobe, both at home and abroad. I had worn them a couple of times at home with t-shirts and blazers, but I feel they really came into their own on holiday. I kept the look as chic as possible with the rest of the look, opting for a black top (which I tied up so you can see the waistband of these trousers, which makes them look as flattering as possible!) and my gorgeous Tibi sandals, which are the ultimate minimal shoe. The peg leg style trouser can be a bit of a nightmare piece at times, and I find 9 times out of 10 it tends be unflattering on different body types (mine included), but these ones just work so well. I think it's a combination of the vertical stripes and the fit over the crotch, but something just makes them so flattering!
