A few weeks ago ASOS Fashion Finder challenged me to style a Missguided co-ord five ways. When I first read the email I honestly thought I couldn't do it, or at least do it in a way that made five reasonably different and interesting looks! Pen and paper in hand, I sat down and brain stormed. I thought of five occasions that occur in my life throughout summer, and styled around each event.
Here are the first three looks I did, wearing the entire co-ord. I am really pleased with how they turned out too! Let me know what you guys think!
1. Girls Night Out: When the co-ord first arrived I immediately thought 'ohh this would be great for a night out!' Its girly, a little revealing but not too much, and the detailing means its anything but boring. To make this work for my style I had to change the first adjective in that list: girly. To make it more 'me' I needed to toughen it up a little, and black accessories and shoe boots do that so perfectly!
2. Casual Day: Most of my looks are for casual days as most of my day-to-day life is very casual! The skirt was a little to short for me to wear comfortably through the day, so I put on this coat to add some length to the outfit. The loose fit of the coat also made for a laid back effortless look, which I played up with the slip-ons.
3. Summer Holiday: I don't know about you guys, but I love getting glammed up on my summer holidays. Most of my looks from my holiday in Italy involved heels and simple but smart outfits. And this look is just that: glam, simple and smart. Something about nude heels always screams elegance to me, so for this look I dressed from the shoes upwards. I added the jacket to bring some tailoring to the look. The structure of it pulls in the skirt, and it is the perfect length for that amazing laser cut detailing to peek out!
I hope you guys enjoy this post and seeing my try something a little different. Tomorrow I will be posting the other two looks, and a little something extra - so check back then!
