Weekend in Leeds with French Connection

Here is my second post with French Connection and my weekend in Leeds. We decided to spend Sunday the way Sundays are meant to be spent: mooching about, drinking coffee and generally just living at a slower pace than usual. Read to the bottom of the post for my new video too!

First up was coffee and breakfast in the beautiful Corn Exchange. This is one the most amazing buildings in Leeds, which I really don't come to often enough. It was lovely and quiet when we were there, so we just enjoyed our drinks and the lovely atmosphere and location. The Corn Exchange is a great place to go to if you want vintage and quirky shops. They have a couple of really great menswear shops that Harry loved!

I went for an outfit that was smart yet comfy and laid back. The drop hem of this jumper makes it perfect to throw on with jeans and still create an interesting look - minimal dressing is all in the details! These simple (and very comfy) Zara heels smartened up the look, balancing out the loose fitting jeans and jumper.

After shooting the outfit photos, we wandered through town via the new Trinity Centre. This is Leeds' newest shopping area (and there is another on the way too which will have a John Lewis, my Mum can hardly contain her excitement!) Trinity has all the high street shops you could ever need, along with loads of restaurants, bars and coffee shops. My favourite part is the Everyman Cinema. This isn't something exclusive to Leeds, but there aren't too many of them about. For a higher price (but well worth it) you can have the best cinema experience ever. The theatres are all decked out with sofas, and you can sit back and enjoy tea, wine, beer, cocktails, pizza, frozen yoghurt... the list goes on. Well worth a visit!

We didn't go for a cinema trip this time, instead we headed to the Henry Moore Institute to see the current exhibition. The Henry Moore is a sculpture gallery which has different exhibition throughout the year, and sits right next to Leeds Art Gallery which has an impressive collection of both sculpture and painting. Sadly we couldn't take any photos inside, but the exhibition was amazing and really relevant to my current dissertation research! Perfect!

Here is my second video guys, sorry the sound isn't great, this is still a working progress! Let me know what you think, and you can subscribe to my YouTube here.
