High Street Holiday Looks

Topshop Striped Split Midi Skirt

ASOS Ultimate Easy T-Shirt in Navy
Gianvito Rossi Suede sandals
Printed midi skirt for holidays

So I am back off my holidays and ready to start sharing my outfits from Tropea. Something I noticed before going away is that I totally ditch my penchant for designer items when I go on holiday - well except shoes and sunnies, that will never go! I'm talking about clothes here. I am not a lover of summer dressing, I love long coats, layers of black and clompy boots. For that reason, the idea of an investment summer item is kinda lost on me. Us Brits don't really see that much sun in a year, so why spend your pennies on a dress you'll wear for a couple of weeks a year?? So I have built up my summer wardrobe solely with high street items. All the outfits coming up are going to be affordable pieces (and hopefully all still available in the shops too!!)

This is outfit number one, featuring something which is so not typically me. A printed skirt!!! And it's colourful! Blimey! I saw this in Topshop in Leeds and immediately loved it, and then tried it on and loved it even more. The split up the side makes it seriously flattering, and aren't the colours just amazing??? I teamed it with a plain t-shirt (I would actually be a little bit lost on what else to pair with this, any suggestions?) and some new shoes.

OKAY so I know I started this post talking about high street things but I've got to just briefly discuss these shoes. I have wanted these since I saw them on Net-A-Porter months and months ago. They were out of my budget, and also selling out fast so I knew they would never be there come sale time. When in Rome I thought I would keep an eye out for any Gianvito Rossi gems in the hope it would be a little cheaper there anyways. LOW AND BEHOLD I find these at 40% off!!! Last pair, in my size, this gorgeous chocolate brown colour - I practically sprinted to the till with them. They're one of my favourite pairs already, and they're comfy too. SHOE HEAVEN!

Well this was a long'un, I can really get a blogging momentum going when I talk about shoes!

SHOES: GIANVITO ROSSI (available in black, tan, and for some affordable dupes check out these and these)
