LFW Day 1 | How To Dress For LFW

Photos by Amber Rose Photography - check her website here, and marvellous blog here.

Yay I am SO excited to be sharing my London Fashion Week looks with you all! I just did three days this time around, because I am a northern gal through and through, spending too much time in London leaves me seriously frazzled (so much so I even wrote a full post about it). So I just have three looks to share with you this time around, and they're three looks I really really love!

I am going to be completely honest with you guys: I have always loved the idea of being snapped by the street style photographers. Those effortless photos of inspiring outfits you see plastered all over the interest during fashion month... damnnn do I wish I could be the girl in the picture. However, the fact of the matter is, my style isn't exactly stand out. I don't do bright colours, print clashing, not really a fan of statement accessories - you guys know I am really a jean and a t-shirt girl at heart! I am also not willing to compromise my style in order to get photographed - if I don't feel good in something, I am not going to enjoy looking as photos of it after all. So my fashion week style has been everything you would expect from me: minimal, basic, but trying to make my style the best it could be. And of course, with some amazing shoes too!

This look was one of my favourites. When I saw this top online at COS I immediately knew it was my kind of stand out piece. Teamed with some cut up, frayed denim and some killer shoes (literally killer, I'm nursing the blisters to prove it) and I was good to go! I had to bring out my CLUSE watch too, just the most perfect minimal piece to keep my look feeling sleek and sophisticated.

As a final point I want to give a BIG thank you to Amber Rose for taking these incredible photos. I have seen her work pop up all over some of my all time favourite blogs, and I was so excited to meet her and be able to work with her too! She's just bloody incredible!
