Sorry for the unplanned radio silence for the past few days, I suddenly realised I was way way behind on all my content and ran out of blog posts!! Thankfully I am back on top of it all after an amazing day shooting in a studio with Isaac on Monday, so I now have LOADS of blog posts to share with you! It’s so nice to do some studio work sometimes, I haven’t done it in ages and I always find it really reignites lots of creatively and makes me see pieces in my wardrobe in a different way. Also, it’s always a pleasure to shoot with Isaac, whose work inspires me so much.
In my last blog post I shared with you guys these shoes from Sergio Rossi and have so enjoyed styling these up. They are so so flattering and leg lengthening so I went with something mega mini. Remember this post here with the yellow shirt, well this is the same style but in navy blue. It’s actually a touch too short due to having split sides to wear on it’s own - so I would style with denim shorts on holiday, or just have it loose over a bikini on the beach. OR, as I have done here, go with a long jacket that matches the hem perfectly, and so fills in the gaps, if you will. I have had this jacket for literally years and it’s still one of my all time favourites in my wardrobe. I actually also ordered this one here which I am waiting for it arrive this week, but I am hoping it will tick similar boxes to this one but as it’s wool will be a little more practical for London weather.
In a similar theme of styling the new shoes with something well loved within my wardrobe, I also pulled out the Raey jacket which is 100% one of my best purchases of last year. Styled with some new Levi’s jeans, the ‘Ribcage’ which fit amazing and so flattering but are definitely made for a shorter leg (they’re classed as a leg length 27), so I would say if you’re around 5”6 these will be perfect length on you! Tucked into them is my old favourite Uniqlo U t-shirt (the mens one), and then belted with my vintage Chanel belt.
